Andy Olsen
Founder, Loft Light Media
Hey there! I’m Andy, the filmmaker behind Loft Light Media. I work with businesses across Boston and New England to create story-driven video that feels real, clear, and easy to connect with.
I love helping businesses tell their story in a way that feels natural and comfortable, especially for people who might feel unsure about being on camera. My approach is simple, collaborative, and focused on creating video that truly reflects who you are and what you do.
I got my first video camera when I was 14. I brought it with me everywhere and I would lose track of time coming up with ideas, planning shots and convincing my friends to star in whatever random thing I was cooking up. I fell in love with making things and I can't believe that today, I get to do it as my job. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
After college, I got a job working for a small photography shop and that's where I learned how much I love small businesses. Local people, making a living by making their community better. Today, I get to take my creative energy and give it back to those same people. I help great businesses thrive and I love doing it!
When I'm not at work, you'll find me spending time with my favorites on the planet, my wife Krystina, my son Everett and our dog Desi. We love to get outside, play ball, go to the ocean, snuggle in for a movie night or gather up all the friends for anything that makes us laugh. As the great Jack Johnson would say "It's always better when we're together."

I’m the Director of Post Production and Senior Video Editor, managing all aspects of post production at Loft Light Media. From shaping the editorial vision to refining the smallest details, I ensure every project is tailored, cohesive, and aligned with each client’s brand and goals.
I studied video production in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent much of my early twenties living and traveling abroad. Those experiences shaped my perspective, storytelling sensibility, and appreciation for diverse voices and approaches to communication. I’m especially passionate about helping small businesses communicate clearly, confidently, and consistently about their products and services.
Outside of work, I enjoy strength training, cooking, reading, and travel. I’m married to my husband, Jay, and bring the same focus, curiosity, and attention to detail to my work that I value in life.
